How did you start your career as a streamer and what kind of content do you create?
I started my content creator career making Pokémon trailer reaction videos back in 2016. I used to watch a lot of Pokémon YouTube videos growing up being that was my favorite game series, and one day I decided I wanted to get my thoughts and opinions out there so why not start making videos.
What is your favorite GungHo game?
My favorite GungHo game is obviously Ninjala! I first learned about Ninjala back in March of 2020 during the Nintendo Direct Mini. Some of my friends, who are other content creators saw the game and were immediately interested in the game and saw the potential Ninjala had to become one of the biggest games out that year.
Do you have any tips for someone who just started playing Ninjala?
If I had to give advice to any new Ninjas wanting to play Ninjala for the first time, I would say don’t be scared to try new things. Ninjala has so many different weapons, Shinobi Cards, and playstyles. If you just try switching it up a few times after a while you'll find a playstyle you'll love.
How did you become a GungHo America Ambassador and what do you like the most about it?
I became a GungHo America Ambassador through Ninjala. I was making videos about the game and streaming the game regularly. What I love the most is being involved with a passionate community of ninjas and making new friends through the Ambassador program as well.
How was it commentating for the CCC, our official Ninjala team battle tournament?
Being able to commentate was an amazing experience! I thought I’d be nervous, but I didn’t feel like that at all! I’ve never felt so connected to the community and to see everyone come together and cheer for their favorite ninja team was a pleasure to see.
Do you have any goals as a content creator and GungHo America Ambassador?
As a content creator, my main goal has always been to become friends with my viewers and have fun! My main reason for becoming a content creator was to make new friends that have the same passions as me, and get my thoughts and opinions of the games I love out there! My ultimate goal is to create my very own tight-knit community of video game lovers.
I only have one goal as GungHo America Ambassador and that's simply to bring the Ninjala community together more and have awesome playing matches with other fellow ninjas. I want to be as involved with the community as I can be.
What are your motivations for creating content?
My viewers and friends are my motivation for making content. Without all the love and support over these past 5 years, I wouldn't have these opportunities if it wasn't for them! I wanna say thank you to all of you for constantly believing in me and motivating me to push harder and be better!
Any advice for someone who wants to become a content creator?
I have about 3 tips for anyone who is thinking about starting content creation.
The first tip is don't be afraid to be yourself. I always struggled with this portion being that I am West Indian (a person born and raised in the Caribbean). I have a very strong accent and dialect so it’s hard for people to understand me at times, but that's what makes me unique and I should embrace that more.
Tip number two would be, be consistent. Consistency is one of the most important things in content creation. That's how you procure an audience for yourself. The more consistent you are the faster you grow.
My third and final tip would be don't be afraid to try new things. I've had a hard time lately with this because the fear of failing has been on my mind every time I upload a video or stream a game that's something I'm not usually doing on my channels. Sometimes or better yet MOST of the time it does well contradictory to some people's beliefs. Just always believe in yourself and have fun with your content!
