EL SEGUNDO – Sep. 1, 2016 –GungHo Online Entertainment announced today that the iconic Japanese anime and manga series, Rurouni Kenshin, will appear in GungHo’s hit mobile title, Puzzle & Dragons. Through Sept. 5 – Sept. 18, the Rurouni Kenshin collab invites players to return to the Meiji Period of 19th century Japan and join forces alongside their favorite characters from the series in a fight against Shishio Makoto and his plan to overthrow the Meiji Government. Players can expect to face new dungeons inspired by the Kyoto-Arc of the original series, as well as collect new skill up items, including the Oniwaban-Style Kodachi Nito-ryu and Himura Kenshin’s legendary reverse-blade sword, Sakabato Shinuchi.
The collaboration will also include a new dungeon featuring four members of Shishio’s army, the Juppongatana, for players to face off against: Sawagejo Cho, Yukyuzan Anji, Uonuma Usui, Sadojima Hoji, and Shishio Makoto, himself; all of whom await players as they relive the great battles of Rurouni Kenshin’s Kyoto-Arc with five levels of increasingly difficult challenges - Intermediate, Expert, Master, Legendary, and Mythical.
